What is Winter Melon Tea?
Winter Melon Tea (冬瓜茶) is one of Taiwan’s popular drinks, found in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and all over Taiwan. A sweet, caramel-like drink made by cooking winter melon with brown sugar — despite the name, it contains no tea leaves. Served iced, it is a classic summer drink.
