What is Mochi?
Mochi (麻糬) is one of Taiwan’s popular desserts, found in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and all over Taiwan. Soft, chewy rice cakes rolled in peanut powder, black sesame or coconut, sometimes filled with red bean or peanut. Hualien is famous for its mochi.
