What is Savory Rice Pudding?
Savory Rice Pudding (碗粿) is one of Taiwan’s popular snacks, found in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and all over Taiwan. A soft rice pudding steamed in a bowl, with fillings such as pork, mushroom, dried shrimp and egg yolk, topped with sweet soy paste and garlic sauce. Tainan is especially famous for it.
