What is Taiwanese Tempura?
Taiwanese Tempura (甜不辣) is one of Taiwan’s popular snacks, found in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and all over Taiwan. Fried or boiled fish cakes cut into pieces and topped with a thick, sweet sauce. Despite the name, it is not Japanese battered tempura.
