What is Pig Blood Cake?
Pig Blood Cake (豬血糕) is one of Taiwan’s popular snacks, found in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and all over Taiwan. A block of sticky rice mixed with pig blood, steamed and served on a stick, then brushed with sweet soy paste, rolled in peanut powder and topped with cilantro. It sounds unusual, but it tastes mild, chewy and nutty.
