What is Tea Egg?
Tea Egg (茶葉蛋) is one of Taiwan’s popular snacks, found in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and all over Taiwan. Eggs boiled, gently cracked, then simmered for hours in tea, soy sauce and spices, giving the white a marbled pattern and a savory, fragrant flavor. A cheap grab-and-go snack.
