What is Taiwanese Rice Cake?

Taiwanese Rice Cake (米糕) is one of Taiwan’s popular rice and braised dishes, found in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and all over Taiwan. Steamed glutinous rice topped with savory minced pork sauce and fish or pork floss, served with pickled cucumber. Tainan-style rice cake is especially well known.
