爌肉飯
Braised Pork Belly Rice
A thick slab of pork belly, slow-braised in soy sauce until the fat turns soft and wobbly, laid over a bowl of white rice and drizzled with the braising sauce. Names vary around Taiwan — in the south, a shop sign saying 滷肉飯 may well mean this dish, so look at the photos on the menu or wall to be sure.
