What is Ba Wan?
Ba Wan (肉圓) is one of Taiwan’s popular night market snacks. A large, soft and chewy translucent dumpling made from sweet potato and rice starch, filled with pork, bamboo shoots and mushrooms. It is steamed or fried in oil, then covered with a sweet-savory sauce. The town of Changhua is especially famous for it.
