What is Braised Snacks?
Braised Snacks (滷味) is one of Taiwan’s popular night market snacks. Pick-your-own snacks simmered in a soy-based braising broth. At most stalls you choose items such as tofu, noodles, vegetables, meatballs, eggs, pork intestine and seaweed, put them in a basket, and the cook heats and seasons them for you. Some shops also sell cold, ready-made plates.
